Our tourist residence, “Once Upon a Time There Was a King,” continues the historic legacy of the former Hotel Marmarole, named in homage to the majestic mountains that frame Calalzo di Cadore. Since the early 1900s, the hotel has stood out as a benchmark for high-level hospitality, becoming a central hub for both Italian and international mountaineering. Thanks to the efforts of the Fanton Brothers, who skillfully highlighted the unique qualities of the region, the hotel attracted an elite clientele.

The bike path passes just 50 meters from our facility and is ideal for all cyclists, allowing you to explore the natural and architectural beauties of the region in a unique and accessible way. This path, largely built along the route of an old railway, is mostly paved and offers cyclists the chance to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of this UNESCO World Heritage site. The cycle path is accessible for all experience levels, thanks to its moderate slope and high-quality route, alternating between paved and gravel sections. It is perfect for a day outdoors, whether for experienced cyclists or families.
